Most calorie trackers monetize the food you eat. Your protein intake, sugar consumption, alcohol patterns, and meal timing become an advertising profile rented to brands, supplement companies, and weight-loss programs.

LogZero's food log doesn't do that. It tracks calories (required), protein, carbs, fat, fiber, sodium, caffeine, and water, all on your device. You can save preset foods for one-tap re-logging, set per-macro min/max targets, and see daily and 30-day trends.

It's the food tracker a nutritionist would build for themselves: precise, full-featured, and free of the surveillance economy that funds the alternatives.

What you get

Capabilities

Full macro tracking

Calories required. Protein, carbs, fat by default. Fiber, sodium, caffeine, water on toggle.

Preset foods

Save a one-tap food template (name, macros, serving) for the meals you eat often.

Min/max targets

Calories can be "at or above" or "at or below". Same for any macro.

Macro charts

Per-macro trend charts with rolling averages. Toggle the ones you care about.

Date navigation

Fill in missed days. Edit logged days. Your data, your timeline.

No barcode scanner

We don't ship one. Barcode scanners often phone home. Type or paste; presets remove the friction.

Why this is private

The food category is one of the most data-extractive in mobile. LogZero takes the opposite approach. Every macro, every meal, every preset stays on your phone in a local database.

Common questions

Common questions about food

What macros and nutrients can I track?

Calories are required. Protein, carbs, and fat track by default. Fiber, sodium, caffeine, and water are one-toggle additions when you want them. Each macro can be set with a min/max target ("at or above" or "at or below") and gets its own 30-day trend chart with a 7-day rolling average overlay — so you can see whether your protein floor is holding or whether sodium spiked this week without scanning rows of numbers.

How fast is logging a meal in practice?

After a week of building presets, most meals log in a single tap. You tap your usual breakfast or the lunch you ate three times last week, and calories + macros land on today instantly. Forgot to log dinner? Open the date picker, jump to yesterday, log it there — your data, your timeline. The first few days take a minute per meal; after that, it's seconds.

Can I see how food affects my mood?

Yes. That's one of LogZero's most popular use cases. The correlations engine computes how your macros and meals relate to your mood, sleep, weight, and energy. All math runs locally on your iPhone.
